This course introduces the elements and principles of art and provides introductory experiences that will enable students to express creative ideas through a variety of mediums and processes. Students will spend time completing art projects designed to develop student’s self-expression and talents as an artist.

The focus is basic art making skills and the art making process. The students will explore concepts that increase their knowledge about art materials and use, art equipment, and art history.

 

This course advances and emphasizes students’ knowledge and skills using the elements and principles of art, and provides experiences that will enable students to express creative ideas through an exploration of a variety of mediums and processes. The focus is building on the art making skills and process. In this multicultural art education course, students will have an opportunity to express themselves creatively and develop their own visual literacy by studying art production and art history from around the globe.
