Choir Programs

The DeWitt Perry Choir Program is home to about 230 students. Our choir program consists of 7 choirs. Students are placed in each choir based on their ability and progress throughout the school year. All students are welcomed to join the DeWitt Perry Choir Family!

Bella Voce

Bella Voce is our 7th/8th Grade Advanced Select Women's Choir. Members of Bella Voce typically have at least one year of choral experience. Students in this ensemble are highly encouraged to audition for All-Region and participate in the Solo & Ensemble Contest. This group performs in 4 concerts per year, participates in the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation, and at area festivals each spring. Bella Voce is led by Mr. Liburd, with assistance from Ms. Snellgrove.

Bel Canto

Bel Canto is our 7th/8th Grade Advanced Women's Choir. Students in this choir work to develop their skills in singing and sight reading. This group performs in 4 concerts per year, participates in the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation and at area festivals each spring. Students in this choir are welcome to participate in our All Region and Solo & Ensemble Contests. This group is led by Ms. Snellgrove, with assistance from Mr. Liburd.

Beginner Choir

All 6th Grade students are placed in our Beginner Choirs. The Beginner Boys and Girls Choirs often combine to perform as the Beginner Mixed Choir. The Beginner Choirs perform at 3 concerts each year and compete in the CFB Beginner Choir Festival during the spring semester. Beginner choir students are encouraged to participate in the CFB Solo & Ensemble Contest. During 6th Grade year, our focus is on building fundamental choral skills. 6th Grade Girls are led by Ms. Snellgrove and 6th Grade Boys are led by Mr. Liburd. Together they co-direct the Beginner Mixed Choir.

Men's Chorale

Men's Chorale is our 7th/8th Grade Advanced Select Men's Choir. Chorale members typically have at least one year of choral experience. Students in this ensemble are highly encouraged to audition for All-Region and Solo & Ensemble Contests. This group performs in 4 concerts per year, participates in the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation, and at area festivals each spring. This group is led by Mr. Liburd, with assistance from Ms. Snellgrove.

Concert Men's Choir

Encore

ENCORE is our 7th & 8th Grade Pop Choir. This ensemble performs Pop Music from 80's, 90's, and Today! ENCORE's main purpose is to provide community outreach through relevant and meaningful performances. ENCORE performs at our feeder elementary schools, retirement homes, and at Carrollton Area performance venues. Members of this ensemble are required to audition for All Region and participate in the Solo & Ensemble Contest. ENCORE is co-directed by Mr. Liburd & Ms. Snellgrove.
